Snickerdoodle Apple Crisps

Makes 4 Servings


Topping Ingredients:

1 Carton Snickerdoodle Chewy Granola Bars

1 Cup Brown Sugar

3/4 Cup Flour

1/2 Cup Unsalted Butter, cubbed

Pinch Kosher Salt

1 Teaspoon Cinnamon


Filling Ingredients:

1 Can Apple Pie Filling

1 Teaspoon Cinnamon

1 1/4 Teaspoon Lemon Juice



Supplies:

Food Processor or Blender

Large Baking Dish

Nonstick Spray

Mini Jars with Lids, optional

Directions:

  1. Preheat oven to 350-degrees.
  2. Unwrap each Snickerdoodle Chewy Granola Bar and pulse in food processor until fine and crumbly. Set aside in medium mixing bowl.
  3. In a small mixing bowl, combine the filling ingredients - apple pie filling, cinnamon and lemon juice. Set aside.
  4. In the medium mixing bowl with granola mixture, combine the rest of the topping ingredients except for unsalted butter -  combine topping ingredients - brown sugar, flour, cinnamon and kosher salt.
  5. Begin to cut in unsalted butter cubes until mixture is in pea-sized crumbs.
  6. In large prepared baking dish, add the filling ingredients and then add the topping ingredients.
  7. Bake for 35-40 minutes until dish is firm and browned top.
  8. To serve, add to mini jars with lids or keep in large baking dish and scoop into individual bowls.
